Hi! I am Veronica!

Thanks for checking out my work! My ceramics practice began during the COVID pandemic, born from a need for something grounding and alive. What I found in clay was alchemy, the quiet miracle of mud becoming form, raw earth transforming into something useful, beautiful, and playful.

I work in two areas. Some pieces carry a meditative, fine-craft quality, textured vessels, atmospheric glazes, objects that may invite stillness. Others are unapologetically functional and joyful board games, mugs made for the ritual of morning coffee, holders for the small things we treasure. Both are handbuilt, shaped without a wheel, and both come from the same belief: that objects made by hand carry something a factory cannot replicate.

For two decades I have worked in HR and Talent Acquisition, finding the right people to solve health, political, economical and education challenges around the world. That instinct followed me into the studio. I make things for people, for the table, the shelf, the daily moment that deserves something made with intention. Clay and patience do the rest.

Glazzed Mudd is my studio practice, based in Arlington, Virginia,  a name that holds both ends of the story: the mud you start with, and the glaze that transforms it.
